It’s Easy to Give Clothes to Charity in Charlotte or Surrounding Areas

When you give used clothes to our charity in Charlotte, National Kidney Services (NKS) will come to your house, apartment, or office and collect them at no charge. This free donation pickup service for residents of Davidson and the surrounding communities is just one of the ways that we make the donating process as easy and stress-free as possible.

Check your closet for items you haven’t worn in more than a year and consider donating these clothes to our charity. Not only will you be clearing clutter and organizing, but you’ll also be doing a good deed in the process. NKS puts your donations to work by supporting the National Kidney Foundation, which is a nonprofit health organization devoted to reducing the prevalence of chronic kidney disease among Americans.

In addition to clearing out your closets at home, there are lots of other ways that you can collect clothes to give to our charity in Charlotte, including:

• Work – Tell your coworkers about NKS and ask if they have any clothes they’d like to donate. You could even arrange an office-wide clothing drive and then request a free donation pickup from NKS.

• Garage sales – If you or one of your neighbors is hosting a garage sale, donating the unsold clothing that remain at the end of the day is a great way to get rid of those last odds and ends.

• Community groups – Whether you’re in 4-H, a monthly book club, or any other organization, gathering clothing to donate to NKS is a great way to give back to the community.

If you would prefer to drop off clothes for our charity, bring them to any Value Village thrift department store that has partnered with NKS to accept donations on our behalf, including locations in Charlotte, Gastonia, Kannapolis, and Mooresville. All contributions to our charity are tax deductible*, and in addition to clothes we also accept jewelry, shoes, and a variety of housewares.
