 Complimentary donation pickup service from National Kidney Services (NKS) makes it possible to donate for free from your house, apartment, or office. Whether you live in Charlotte or any of the surrounding areas, it’s easy to help us in our mission to sustain kidney disease prevention programs throughout the state. Simply gather contributions of used clothing or household items and arrange a pick up by calling 704-393-5780 or filling out our online form.
NKS accepts a wide variety of items that you can donate for free by taking advantage of our pickup service, including:
- Men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing
- Shoes and accessories
- Tableware and glassware
- Plates , serving dishes, and utensils
- Small kitchen appliances
- Decorative items
- Electronics
- Books
- Toys
- And more
You can also donate for free by bringing your donations to any Value Village thrift department store in Charlotte, Gastonia, Kannapolis, or Mooresville. All contributions to our charity are tax deductible*, and a receipt can be obtained from your donation pickup driver or at any of our donation locations.
All proceeds generated from your contributions are given directly to the National Kidney Foundation and its efforts to sustain prevention programs throughout the nation. By prioritizing early detection and kidney disease education, we believe we can greatly reduce the prevalence of this debilitating illness in the United States.
